Every day progressive activists in this country are harassed, attacked and imprisoned. These people have put themselves on the line for economic and social justice and the RFC supports their children.
There’s 6-year-old Sarah whose Iraq war resister father was imprisoned for speaking out against the war; and Ayana and Keisha, aged 5 and 11, whose mother lost her job for vocally supporting a Muslim who was falsely accused in the post-9/11 hysteria; and 12-year-old John whose ex-Black Panther father served 20 years in prison for a crime he did not commit; and 12-year-old Ernesto whose mother was attacked for organizing for LGBTQ rights; and 2-year-old Abby whose mother was imprisoned as a terrorist for her environmental activism; and so many more.
The RFC makes grants to institutions and professionals who nurture these youngsters. Your donations will enable these children to learn and flourish in a supportive community of sympathetic peers and adults. Your contribution will help a particular child, support the good work of progressive institutions and help children’s parents to continue their important activities.
Since 1990 the RFC has made millions of dollars in grants because of the generosity of people like you. We’ve helped hundreds of children in every region of the country efficiently and effectively. We pledge that an extraordinary 90% of your donation will be awarded immediately for current needs or invested to provide for future awards.
There is no other national project like the RFC. We will do everything in our power to help these children. But our power flows from you. Only you can help us to help these most vulnerable victims of authoritarian repression.
