Join us on Sunday, November 3rd at 2:00pm at Belmont Books (79 Leonard St, Belmont, MA 02478) for a discussion with the author of The Many Mothers of Ivy Puddingstone author, Randy Susan Meyers, and Reverend Irene Monroe.

Books will be available for sale, and the proceeds from the event will be donated to the Rosenberg Fund for Children.

Join The Rosenberg Fund for Children virtually for The Rosenberg Case 70 Years Later: Fighting Fascism Then and Now, an event and premier of a short RFC-produced film on either of two screening dates – June 14th or June 25th. The event will feature long-time activist and RFC Advisory Board member Angela Y. Davis, National Book award-winning poet and RFC Advisory Board member Martín Espada, Highlander Center Co-Executive Director Ash-Lee Woodard Henderson, Executive Director of Muslim Advocates Omar Farah, Rosenberg sons Robert and Michael Meeropol and other artists and activists.

Retired Attorney Robert Meeropol is the younger son of Julius and Ethel Rosenberg, and founder of the Rosenberg Fund for Children. His parents were executed by the US government on June 19th, 1953, when he was six years old, for what was called the theft of the secret of the Atomic Bomb. He will review his parents’ case, and emphasize more recent developments, including the publication in June, 2021 of “Ethel Rosenberg, An American Tragedy,” by award winning British biographer, Anne Sebba. Other recent developments led Robert and his brother, Michael, working with the Rosenberg Fund for Children, to ask former President Obama to exonerate their mother before he left office in 2017. Obama left office without responding, but now that Biden is President they are about to restart that campaign.

Join us for an informative program via Zoom examining the controversial 1953 trial and execution of Julius and Ethel Rosenberg. Our featured guest will be Attorney Robert Meeropol, the younger son of Julius and Ethel Rosenberg. Robert and his brother Michael are demanding an official exoneration of his mother Ethel for espionage. They claim their mother was not a spy and her trial was a perversion of justice. Attorney Meeropol strongly suggests that those interested in this program read Anne Sebba’s book Ethel Rosenberg: An American Tragedy.

While we hoped to be able to gather in-person on Sept. 25th, with COVID rates on the rise again, the RFC’s Board and staff have made the difficult decision to cancel the in-person event. We're hard at work on the 30th anniversary report, which we hope to release in September or October, and we're working on a special bonus celebration of 30 years of supporting the children of resistance (TBA). We'll post updates here on the RFC website and our social media channels. Stay tuned!

On June 29 at 7 PM EDT, Odyssey Bookshop will host a live, online conversation and book-read event with Anne Sebba, author of a moving, new biography, "Ethel Rosenberg: An American Tragedy." Joining the conversation will be RFC Founder Robert Meeropol. New York Times bestselling author Anne Sebba's new biography focuses on the life of Ethel Rosenberg, the wife and mother whose execution for espionage-related crimes defined the Cold War and horrified the world.

On Monday, June 28th, 2021 at 7:30 PM EDT RFC Founder Robert Meeropol will deliver an online talk "Strange Fruit, the Inside Story," hosted by the World Fellowship Center. As the son of Abel Meeropol (wrote the music and lyrics to "Strange Fruit"), Robert will speak to the songs’ origin, history and current impact of the anti-lynching anthem. This event is free, online, and open to the public.

IMPORTANT UPDATE AS OF 03/19/20:

In light of current CDC and other recommendations as of March 18th, making clear that non-essential, in-person gatherings should be avoided for at least eight weeks as a precaution against the spread of COVID-19, we’re assessing how to alter our plans for our 30th Anniversary Celebration currently scheduled for May 9th. We’re working as diligently as we can to decide on our path forward, in the midst of rapidly evolving information.

In this presentation sponsored by Tifereth Israel Synagogue, activist, author, and attorney Robert Meeropol will talk about his life experience as the son of Ethel and Julius Rosenberg, the organization he started to honor their legacy, and the recent campaign to exonerate his mother.
