If you interact with the RFC around grants, you’ll soon be communicating with a new staff member (if you haven’t already). After five years of dedicated service, Julie Johnson left the RFC at the end of 2015, and Alli Langley took her place as the Granting Coordinator.
Although new to our staff, Alli has been involved in progressive and activist communities since attending nearby Smith College, where she studied social movements and was a student organizer on campus. She then spent the next several years working first at a peace and justice-oriented non-profit, and then a public agency. To our beneficiaries, Alli writes, “I’m excited to join the staff at the RFC. I’m honored to have the opportunity to support you and your families as the Granting Coordinator and look forward to getting to know you as we work together in the future!” (Contact Alli with grant-related questions at alli@rfc.org.)
Year’s end also brought another staff change to the RFC. After 25 years of service, our Financial Coordinator Jane Miller, who has been with the RFC since its founding, retired. Though we’re sad to see her go, we’re pleased to welcome Ferdene Chin-Yee in her place, as our full charge bookkeeper.
