Ali Abbasi's 2024 film "The Apprentice" tells the story of Roy Cohn—the prosecutor who helped send Ethel and Julius Rosenberg, wrongfully, to the electric chair in 1953—and his molding and mentoring of a young Donald Trump.
The film secured two Oscar nods, including Actor in a Leading Role (Sebastian Stan) and Actor in a Supporting Role (Jeremy Strong). Strong, who plays Cohn in the film, publicly spoke on the campaign to exonerate Ethel Rosenberg in a recent television appearance on Late Night with Jimmy Kimmel (see a clip here! https://www.facebook.com/share/p/1BqHixZHbH/)
Best of luck to Jeremy Strong and Sebastian Stan this weekend at the Oscars!
