Seventy years after the U.S. government executed Ethel and Julius Rosenberg for "conspiracy to commit espionage," their sons Michael and Robert Meeropol call on Director of Intelligence Avril Haines to direct the National Security Agency (NSA) and the National Archives to declassify hundreds of thousands of pages pertaining to their mother, Ethel Rosenberg.
In their June Just Security Op-Ed, the brothers wrote, "Today, compelling doubts about our mother’s guilt persist, and we call on the U.S. government to immediately release all documents related to her prosecution and execution, so that we and all Americans can finally know the truth about her case."
