Marshall University played host to a discussion about activism led by Robert Meeropol, the younger son of Julius and Ethel Rosenberg...In a packed Memorial Student Center, Meeropol talked about his struggles as a child of convicted spies.
Meeropol was three years old at the time of his parents' conviction. - He was six when they were executed..."It was really a bad time, but there was a community of support that rallied to our aid, and helped us to survive," says Meeropol of the people that risked alienation to help and care for Meeropol and his older brother, Michael...Meeropol spoke at length about the Rosenberg Fund for Children that he started to help children of activists of all types.
